About me
I am a lawyer and philosopher at the University of Warwick. My research focuses on ethics, philosophy of criminal law, and legal theory.
I am currently a DPhil candidate in the Philosophy Department at the University of Warwick (since 2023). For my DPhil, I am working with Victor Tadros and Sameer Bajaj.
I studied Philosophy of Law for my Master's degree at the University of Genoa (2021–2022), working with María Cristina Redondo and Sebastián Figueroa.
I obtained my LLB from the University of Chile (2016), focusing my research on criminal law, legal theory and moral philosophy.
Research interests
My research focuses primarily on normative powers and other mechanisms of normative change in normative ethics and the philosophy of criminal law.
I have also explored the rationale of these mechanisms within the continental tradition, particularly the lex permissiva in Immanuel Kant’s Metaphysics of Morals and the right of necessity (Notrecht) in §127 of G.W.F. Hegel’s Elements of the Philosophy of Right.
Location
